[FOB] please attend and speak out at upcoming hearings in January

Are you concerned about the floating liquefied natural gas facility proposed for the heart of Long Island Sound? If so, then Federal and state regulators need to hear from you at public hearings in January.

This mammoth industrial facility will forever change the Sound (an Estuary of National Significance) and its beautiful embayments along the north shore of Long Island (i.e. Oyster Bay/Cold Spring Harbor) by paving the way for other industrials uses. It is crucial that you speak out at one of the four upcoming hearings. There will be 2 hearings in New York and 2 in Connecticut.

The hearings will address the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's recently released draft environmental impact statement, which supported the project. The dates are:

    Hearings in NEW YORK

    - Jan. 10, 7 to 10 p.m. at the Smithtown High School Auditorium in Smithtown, N.Y. West Campus, 100 Central Rd

    - Jan. 11, 7 to 10 p.m. at Prodell Middle School Auditorium in Shoreham, N.Y. 100 Randall Rd
